Our run started out at 6 AM with amazing temps of 68 degrees and only moderate humidity. I still wonder how I can’t stand to get up before 6:30AM any other day but on Saturdays I look forward to waking up @ 5:20 for a 6 AM run.
We did an easy pace for just over 9 miles. Our group leader decided he wanted to take the flat route rather than a more challenging one. I’ve been feeling very weak on my past runs over the last 2 weeks so this was great news for me. Our pace was about 25 seconds per mile slower than our normal group pace. I’m not sure if they were just being nice to me or perhaps I wasn’t the only one having a difficult time.
I was really excited to have completed the 9.25 miles as this has been the longest I’ve run in over 3 weeks. I’m not sure I could have done this on my own as my confidence in running has gone down the toilet. This was really a boost for me. |
